Delicious Large Beefsteak Type
This tomato was developed many years ago by Burpee's from "Beefsteak" tomato, after 13 years of selection for smoother fruit. This really big tomato produces huge 1-to 3-lb fruit that are fairly smooth for a giant tomato, and, as the name implies, these are delicious! In 1986 it set the world record for weight, with a giant 7 lb 12 oz fruit!
Druzba Medium Beefsteak Type
Bulgarian heirloom. Translates as "friendship". Round 4" 12 oz fruits are slightly flattened and blemish-free. Heavy set of smooth red fruits. bright red with pink- gold shoulders. High acid content. Good flavor, sweet but tart.
Dutchman Large Beefsteak Type
The Dutchman tomato is an extremely old variety that dates back to at least the 1920's. By WW2, the variety had all but disappeared and was maintained only by a single family. This wonderful heirloom tomato is a producer of huge, solid tomatoes of a purple pink color with a sweet flavor. The tomatoes weigh up to three pounds.

Garden Peach Cluster Type
Offered under a variety of names to American gardeners since the middle 1800’s. Abundant clusters of 2” yellow tomatoes with a pink blush when fully ripe. Skin is somewhat fuzzy resembling a peach and the flavor is sweet and fruit-like. Outstanding flavor, rarely cracks. Indeterminate.
German Strawberry Large Beefsteak Type
Distinctive in appearance, excels in flavor. This German heirloom resembles a strawberry in color and shape, though much larger! 'German Red Strawberry' is excellent in salads and is the quintessential sandwich tomato. It is meaty with a scant amount of seeds and juice, and the spectrum of flavor components runs broad and deep. Fruits average 10 oz. in weight and average 3". Introduced by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University, this very early variety sets large 8-16 oz fruit that are glossy red and round with a very good flavor that is a nice blend of sugars and acids. Legend has strong resistance against the late blight fungus, a problem that has thwarted many a tomato gardener. It sets fruit well under cool temperatures, and contains few seeds.

Manyel Cluster Type
The name 'Manyel' means 'many moons'. An heirloom reportedly of recent Native American origin. Original seed sent to SESE by Carolyn Male. Fruits look like yellow moons amidst the sparse green foliage. Creamy yellow tomatoes with a characteristic lemon-like flavor. Smooth shouldered fruits are thin-walled with some concentric cracking. Average fruit weight is 6 oz., measuring 2" high by 2-1/4" wide. Fruits are borne in clusters of 2 to 4 on vines providing light foliage cover. Moonglow Yellow
A very pretty tomato and one of the best for straight-from-the- vine eating. Medium-sized, bright orange fruits glow with neon intensity against 36" vines. A high yielder and good keeper, producing loads of tasty, 3 to 4 oz., globe shaped fruits that are dense and meaty, with thick walls and few seeds. Flavor is sweet, with a hint of tartness, but without that strong acidic taste.
Mortgage Lifter Large Beefsteak Type
A family heirloom variety from West Virginia.. This variety was developed in the 1930's by Mr. Byles of Logan, WV to help pay off his home mortgage. He was able to pay off his mortgage in 6 years by selling the tomato plants. He crossed German Johnson, Beefsteak, and Italian & English varieties to come up with this unique variety. Mule Team Medium Beefsteak Type
Medium sized plants produce perfect 8 oz red globes that have very little cracking, making this a good choice for market growers. Beautiful persimmon colored, rose-orange fruits range between 12 and 16 oz., though early fruits can weigh up to 2 lbs. Ripens from the blossom end to the softly dented light green shoulders, gradually acquiring a rose orange hue. Vines are vigorous, well branched and produce 1 to 2 fruits per flower cluster. Riesentraube Cherry/Grape Type
Originally from East Germany, it also may have been grown by the Pennsylvania Dutch as early as 1855. 'Riesentraube' translates from the German as "giant bunch of grapes". One of 'Riesentraube's' outstanding features is the large number of flowers produced per cluster (up to 350 flowers!). Flower clusters appear as compact floral sprays giving rise to large tomato we have grown. The cherry-sized tomatoes approximately 3/4 oz. Distinctive red fruits have a rounded pear shape with sharp pointed end. Vine growth is compact, highly branched, with good foliage cover for developing fruits. Tropic Medium Beefsteak Type
Developed by the Univ. of Florida. This exceptionally disease-resistant variety has excellent versatility as a garden, greenhouse, or market tomato. The fruit averages 8 to 9 oz., is thick-walled, and tends to sit high on the vine under a protective cover of foliage. The sweet flavored fruits ripen to red with slight green shoulders.
